Politics tag because this is election data but I have absolutely no interest in talking points right now. Idk why counting votes is somehow politically charged but simply following the data as it comes in without bias from either side is fascinating to me. That 3500 differential in Georgia is craziness. I keep hitting refresh because I’m curious to see the final countdown.

Here’s another sunset to make up for reminding you this shit is still going.

Nearly 3000 votes counted in a 3-minute window and the margin remains exactly the same....? Hrrrmmmm....(in a couple ways)

I like data! Thanks for posting that.

Because I haven’t been obsessively refreshing vote updates enough as it is.

I imagine this is multiple sources of raw data. Certainly needs some interpretation before presenting. But interpretation can add bias.

They’re adding to the count of uncounted ballots - not counting votes. Note that the uncounted number goes up not down.

I find it incredibly depressing that I probably have a pretty good handle on how counting became politically charged. I say i gnorance is bliss on that one.
I’m not really a data person, but at one time I worked in buzzwordy big data systems . Not this kind of data , it was marketing-type stuff, and I just ran the system and didn’t care about what data was in it. But the teams who used the system spent all day in spreadsheets and other analysis tools to direct the business and make us money . We even had a whole team just for statistics (they used a different system, not mine). The whole reason I got out of it wasn’t that I didn’t like big data, it was that the systems to handle it were so shitty that I couldn’t stand being on the hook for keeping them working anymore.

Took me a couple looks at it, too. Keep in mind that’s not anything official, either. He’s gathering data somehow.

C19 and its politicisation
really added an excitement factor to the vote counting.

What if my talking point is being mad that the card counters in Nevada don’t know how to count ballots?

If you stop refreshing your preferred candidates will lose
